This is the first push dagger Iíve ever purchased. My first thought upon handling is that it was insanely thick, and had substantial weight to it. That being said, as thick as it is, it came as sharp as any other cold steel knife Iíve purchased in the past. I was somewhat surprised that a blade this thick would still slice paper and shave hair as well as it does from the factory. I expected to have to reproduce the edge to a much more acute angle, but found that wasnít at all necessary. The handle feels really comfortable to grip, and feels like it would stay pretty sturdy in the hand during impact. The sheath is ok, the best part about the sheath is the ulti-clip attachment. While the retention seems to be just enough to hold the knife in the sheath, I feel like it should take just a little more effort to draw it out.

My only complaint about the knives in the drop forged series, is that theyíre not all offered in a black finish. Other than that, the knives I own out of this series are amazing bang for the buck you spend on them.
