This limited edition Paramilitary 2 has a 52100 steel blade with a satin finish and plain cutting edge. It comes outfitted with peel ply carbon fiber scales for impressive strength and grip.

The Spyderco Paramilitary 2 features a number of inspiring revisions. An updated handle has a thinner profile at the end to improve the ergonomics and the ambidextrous four-way reversible pocket clip rests deeper in the pocket as well. The blade has an elongated profile, with an increased cutting edge, finger choil and thumb ramp.

Implementation of a new Bushing Pivot System generates fluid action and more consistent manufacturing tolerances. The Para-Military still has the solid, confidence inspiring Compression Lock on the handle spine. Lastly, the size of the lanyard hole has been generously increased, giving the user more carry options. This all results in more than just change for the sake of change, it's a real improvement on an already great knife.

Great combo of steel and grind. The PM2 is already optimized to be a good slicer, and 52100 can take a very fine edge. It came out of the box very sharp - typical for Spyderco. The handle is shaped for real work, with or without gloves, and lets you put a lot of pressure on heavy cuts while giving good control for fine cuts. The carbon fiber handle scale changes the balance slightly over G-10 - just a little bit lighter feeling. Carbon fiber is just a little bit smoother than other Spydercos I've had - still gives a good grip, without tearing up hands or pockets. Only down side - the PM2 design is not unobtrusive. It's a bit wide, and sits best in jean-style pockets. There are slimmer knives for EDC, but the PM2 handle feels great when out of your pocket and in use.
My favorite pm2

Everyone one said that a pm2 should be in your knife collection. I wasnít convinced until I found the cf version. Love the textured cf scales theyíre awesome! Itís the only knife I like tip down carrying in my pocket.
Great Action

My first spiderco knife. The compression lock is probably my favorite lock of any I've tried, and the action is awesome. I knew this steel would rust, but the amount it rusts is crazy! If you carry it, and you sweat on it, it will rust fast. Good knife though.
PM2 52100 CF

Knife is flawless. Materials, quality, and design are what make this knife worth its price tag vs the standard version. Iím actually considering having a backup of this one. 52100 may not hold an edge as long as most steels but itís an absolute joy to sharpen.
My 2nd Paragraph 2

I love the inife and the steel. Plenty don't like a patina but I love it. Nothing forced about it, but over time it just gets a darker look to it. Sharp and cuts.. what more could you be asking for?

A fantastic knife you will be very happy if you buy one. Bladehq is amazing as always.

This is my second para 2 I fell in love with the first the action is so smooth on both and the urgonomics are amazing a great edition to any collection
This is my second spyderco. I wanted something bigger than my delica. This nailed it. It's a delica but better in everyway. I love the carbon fiber handles. Fit and finish are perfect. This knife is super sharp out the box. Does drop shut but takes some time flipping it. I love the compression lock. Highly recommend it.
Had To Have It

This was my second PM2. After being so impressed with the first, this was a no-brainer. Beyond pleased.
My favorite knife

I bought this as a gift for someone else, and I still wish it was mine instead. The blade is super sharp, which was amazing. And the handles length was pretty great compared to the blade itself. I really enjoyed how long-ish it was.
One Hell of a Knife

The Military, despite its size, is an elegant and well balanced knife that is easy to deploy. The carbon fiber scales on this version are AWESOME. The steel is tough and holds an edge - but it will stain easily if that matters to you. You have to clean it and keep it oiled. Even so - I would recommend it despite at the price tag.
First PM2, best knife I've bought

Since it has a carbon steel, you can force a patina on it. I did with mine, and it came out beautifully. The carbon fiber has a great grippy texture, the finger choil makes it very ergonomic. 52100 steel doesn't have the hardness of some other steels, so it won't have crazy edge retention. But, it's easy to sharpen, and still holds its edge plenty long. And it's a very tough steel. You do have to take care of it though, to prevent rust. Carbon steels may not be for everyone, but for me the knife is perfect and I highly recommend it. I've used it for food preparation, opening packages, and some outdoor applications. No issues yet.
