Description:
In 1947, Mikhail Kalashnikov completed development of a rifle designed to arm millions of Soviet soldiers. It is now known as the AK-47 and remains in active use to this day, being the most manufactured rifle in history. It is so loved because it gets the job done, is very economical, and keeps ticking, no matter what you throw at it. The Boker Kalashnikov knife is inspired by the iconic weapon, with a simple design, no frills, and maximum functionality. The Kalashnikov is made of high-performance, high-value materials. It has a strong lock, dependable action, and a handle that just wants to go to work. The Kalashnikov truly is a knife that makes its namesake proud!
Boker Kalashnikov Knives come in many sizes, a variety of blade shapes, and tons of colors! These knives also come in AUS-8 steel for a price you can't beat!
Looking to add some flare to your Kalashnikov? Check out these sleek Flytanium pocket clips! These pocket clips only fit the regular models not the Mini or the XXL.
*Automatic conversion knives are retrofitted by a third party to accept a coil spring. The factory warranty on these knives is void, but we do have a warranty for the conversion/spring of these knives for one (1) year from date of purchase.
For the price, you cant beat this. Fast snappy action, solid blade lockup and it just looks fantastic. This for me it is a daily carry option versus some of my higher priced blades that I don’t want to loose or damage. The D2 steel is very hard and difficult to get a razor sharp edge. It does however hold a moderately sharp edge very well and for a long while.
This baby will get a LOT of attention. The colors really work well together. They're subtle, but they pop at the same time. It's a Böker, so you know it's a great knife. Edge is sharp, action is smooth and snappy, feels great in the hand, not too light, not too heavy.
Excellent, excellent knife!!!! Has some very minor play in the blade. But not enough play for me to lower the rating. I need to figure out how to tighten it.
The fit, and finish are great! It feels Rock solid, while still being light enough to carry and forget it’s there. The d2 blade came with a super sharp edge and clean shaved right out of the box! The action is smooth and flies open fast and has a great solid “chunk” when it opens. I was unsure what to expect honestly, but I am very impressed and we’ll definitely be buying more!
Received my Boker Desert Warrior, I really like it. Fun knife, Good strong action, locks up nice and tight. I am happy to add to collection. My video review here; https://youtu.be/0CLqNyYCt44
This is the knife you need. After seeing so many videos, I knew I needed to pull the trigger on purchasing the Kalashnikov and boy am I glad that I did. Like you'll see in any video, this thing FLIES open when you press the button and has little to no blade play while open. The handle and jimping on the spine make for a great feel AND control in the hand. Finally, the centering of the blade is something I am always concerned about with a knife and this one couldn't be more set in the center if it were possible. For the price, this is a no brainer and now that I have the full size, I will definitely be looking for a mini Kalashnikov in the future!
This is my second Auto Kalash, but my 3rd Kalash over all, and I continue being happy with what I get. It wasn't very sharp out of the box (none of my Bokers have, and I have 10 of them) but nothing a quick run on a ceramic rod and strop couldn't fix. It's a great knife and aside from blade steel, I can't see a reason why I would buy a more expensive auto over the Kalashnikov series.
Had a Kalashnikov for a couple years that I've beat up real good. Purchased this for a gift and love it. I'm going to get another for myself. Love the D2 upgrade from the Aus-8.
Perfect for that one unused row of Molle webbing you have left on your carrier or chest rig, Out of the box the handle needed some TLC to get rid of the chalky dust on it. the blade is kinda sharp out of the box. Overall at this price it's a no brainer.
I really enjoy this knife, big time. Aesthetically it is dang near perfect for me. I love the weight, it is refreshing after using some of the higher end less weighty knifes. If you are just getting into knifes and want a budget auto, or if you need a solid and snappy, EDC. This Boker gets it done!
I love this thing! It's almost as fidgety as an otf, and you won't want to put it down once you pick it up. Overall a great purchase that I'm glad I pulled the trigger on.
Just received this bad boy and it’s super snappy
I've had a few boker autos. The first one lasted about 17 years and was really care worn for the worse. I came here to blade HQ to shop and sadly they were always out of the particular one I wanted. I was patient for restock. But after 3 months, nothing so I bought one that was brushed aluminum. Terrible knife for me. The button was way too sensitive and often engaged in my pocket. Not good. It oxidized to often and I hate the look of oxidized aluminum. It was too much work to keep it up. So back to blade HQ and they had this back in stock finally. I'm very pleased with this new boker. The switch button is stiff enough that you have to really want to open it. I'm 100% confident that unless someone/something hits me hard enough in the sweet spot it ain't gonna accidentally pop open (there go my jewels). The blade itself is equally impressive. It offers more back bone (it's not to thin to be weak) down the middle and as such allows the user more options for daily use and not just sticking some as daggers are primarily designed for. Plus the price is very reasonable. It comes in AK-47 magazine style box. So when you get your order don't think someone made a big mistake. It's right on par when themed with the Kalashnikov name.
Love love love my desert warrior Kalashnikov. Aus 8 good work steel easy to maintain and great for quick deployment. Wear it on my chest pocket of my coveralls for easy access. Great buy
This is such an amazing knife that I quit carrying my benchmade Loco, it’s snappy and beautiful. It’s also started me down the path of autos. Edit: It has now been a year and I'm still very in love with this knife, the knife is wearing very nicely. The blade steel is great for hard use and my only compalint is that the grind came uneven.\ My spring did break but it was a somewhat simple fix.
First Kalashnikov I bought. Best decision I've made. I absolutely love these knives, aggressive action, great construction, and comes razor sharp. For the price, it's unbeatable.
I needed an boker kalashnikov for my collection but the boring colors never caught my attention then I saw this one. It has great quality and feels like it will last for years.
I love this knife and bought some for gifts this year for friends and Family. Great action and quality, by far the best bang for the buck in my opinion!
This knife is my first foray into the auto world and man am I impressed. Very snappy action and razor sharp blade right out of the box. Been my edc for the better part of a month now and I have absolutely no regrets. This won't be my last kalishnikov and definitely not my last auto.
This is another in a long line of autos I own and have owned and it's hard to believe the quality of this knife for the price, really hard to believe. Every aspect of this piece is spot on, the opening action is very strong, the lock up is solid as it can be, the blade play side to side is almost imperceptible and the edge does super fine paper ribbons right outta the box. I will indeed pick up a few more of these both for myself and probably as gifts. Grab at least one, you cannot go wrong and will not regret it.
There seems to be a consensus that this is the best auto for the price, and I agree. I don't have much to add, as the other reviews do a good job extolling the virtues of this knife. My only complaint is that the pocket clip is pretty ugly, and that's all that you will see of the knife while it's in the pocket. A minor complaint, and certainly not enough to lose a star over.
I couldn't be happier with this purchase. It was delivered in 3 days. This knife is amazing. New owner I love the look of knife. Work great for EDC. Love it love it
I bought this knife for our family Christmas game white elephant and it was hit. All the men in our family were fighting over the knife. Anyways I thought the knife was brilliant for the money. It open fast and closed with ease. The grip felt nice and secure. Also would be easy to operate if hands were wet as well. At the end of the night I wished I have kept it for myself. Thanks BladeHQ for the great deal and aways keeping me addicted to your web page.
Good knife awsome action.
Great knife. Love the classic color and the quality sheath was a surprise. I also love the packaging as it comes in a box and inside you find a plastic unmistakable Kalashnikov magazine with the blade securely inside. I have it zip tied to my wheelchair frame for quick access!
Opens fast, good quality for the price! Love the colors. Thanks BladeHQ will be ordering all my knives here.
This things action is on point. Got this for Christmas, and I was happy that I did. This is my new favorite knife.
I couldn't be happier with this purchase. It was delivered in 3 days. Blade is shaving sharp out of the box and actually looks like it's been stropped at the factory. Action was a little stiff at first but some oil and about 100 blade deployments later, it is very smooth and surprisingly fast opening!! Thanks BladeHQ!
This knife is amazing. I bought 3, the mini, this one and the grey full size. This one's action was a little stiff at first, but a drop of oil and is firing like a champ. Highly recommend this knife. Well worth the money.
This thing is phenomenal! The colors go really well together, the price is great, and the action snappy. Really snappy. Easy to close one handed as well. My only hang up is the clip. It is far too long and creates a minor hot spot on my hand. Just a personal preference. It does ride deep but I feel Boker should shorten it or redesign it. Anyway, buy this knife! You won't regret it.
I've had this knife for a while and I love it! The spring is strong, the aus-8 can obtain a nice edge, the coloration is sick, and you can't beat the price. I've spent a lot of money on knives and I have never been so pleased with the quality to price ratio.
I own a lot of Autos. My 2 favorite are Benchmade Mini Reflex & Protech Newport. 3rd place is the whole Boker Kalashnikov series (mini and regular). This color combo is my favorite, but they are all awesome. Fast, solid deployment. Nice edge out of the box. Your only regret will be not buying two!!
New owner... for life! Saving-up for another one
Boker hit it out of the park with this one, and combined with the fair price at Blade HQ, the deal can't be beat. For an inexpensive knife, you get excellent AUS8 steel, solid handle and lock-up, positive grip, quality execution by the Taiwanese, cool copper-colored blade, wrapped in a fun gift box. In fact, an inexpensive but quality gift is probably its best use, and I plan on getting a few more.
I'm loving this knife! Have put it threw some paces and works flawlessly! Paint wares pretty fast on the handle and pocket clip but I don't mind much. I will be ordering another in the near future....or two!
I have always wanted a Kalashnikov. I waited and waited holding out to get something special, when this popped up i jumped on it. I couldn't be happier, easy to deploy, perfect size, and when anyone asks you for a knife they always ask about it. I love the copper color blade its nice and easy to keep looking new. the handle paint is ok, it wears a bit but who doesn't like a bit of wear and tear on a knife. Over all great knife and a great price point. Get it while you still can!
Bought one of these on sale but it was obviously a return from another customer. Box wasn't sealed and there were fingerprints on the blade. Whatever. It's a decent knife for the price.
Good looking. Opening function is snappy. Good ergos from the aluminum scales. Mine came nicely centered, but there is plenty of blade play compared to some other knives at this price. Came reasonably sharp. Cheers!
I've had it less than a week and pressing the button still hasn't gotten old. The blade hits hard! Wish it had been a little sharper.
For $37 I wasn't expecting too much from this knife. However, the knife is quite nice; especially so given the price. The looks/styling really do say "Kalashnikov". Recommended.
Very sharp right out of box. Opens with a very crisp Snick! Thats a higher pitched clatch sound... Locks solid. Holds an edge well. Held off on review until I could use it a little more. I still like it a lot! Its my go to work knife now. Im not real fond of the scales, would rather have G-10 or Carbon fiber. Im seeing some wear already on my scales... Petina? Yea. thats it. Had it working on the beach over the fourth and it saw its share of sand. Still working fine.
This is a great auto if you have never bought one before or if you just like automatic knives. The action is smooth and snappy and the blade holds up fairly well. With the deep carry clip this knife just disappears and is invisible to the observer except for the clip. It doesn’t hold an edge as long as some of my other knives but that is to be expected for the price, and I like sharpening so it doesn’t matter. Overall I love it and carry it all the time.
If your into knives any at all, you just have to have one of these. They are a great classic and very useable EDC blade.
The boker kalashnikov was my first automatic knife.. my dad had a friend in the border patrol who gave it to him and he gave it to me. It was very durable the only flaw was the pocket clip. For a beginner this is your best bet. Fair priced, great quality!
Great knife and my first auto, really comfy to use. The secondary grind was a little uneven, but not a huge issue.
Great knife. I've had it a few months now and use it to cut stuff at work daily. It has held up pretty good. I took off a star because it wasn't very sharp from the factory. I touch it up with a sharpener once a week and it stays pretty sharp now. Nice edc.
Serious blade play. I have three of these(various blade styles/color combos) and an XXL, all with the same blade play issue. When the blade is deployed in locked position, there is a considerable amount of blade play side to side. The rest is all awesome. Feels great in hand, very snappy/solid deploy. For the money it’s an ok buy, but given the blade play I feel like I’d be replacing it soon if I used it often. For that, it’s not used often.
ill mimic exactly what another reviewer has said..... The button sticks on mine and you really have to jam down to get it to open. you almost have to push it twice to open it. And the Boker safty seals were cut open on the box, making me think it's been swapped out at some point. Was really looking forward to enjoying this knife, but i may have to have an exchange. if i get an exchange and its a little smoother it'll warrant a 5 star review...
