Description:
In 1947, Mikhail Kalashnikov completed development of a rifle designed to arm millions of Soviet soldiers. It is now known as the AK-47 and remains in active use to this day, being the most manufactured rifle in history. It is so loved because it gets the job done, is very economical, and keeps ticking, no matter what you throw at it. The Boker Kalashnikov knife is inspired by the iconic weapon, with a simple design, no frills, and maximum functionality. The Kalashnikov is made of high-performance, high-value materials. It has a strong lock, dependable action, and a handle that just wants to go to work. The Kalashnikov truly is a knife that makes its namesake proud!
Boker Kalashnikov Knives come in many sizes, a variety of blade shapes, and tons of colors! These knives also come in AUS-8 steel for a price you can't beat!
Looking to add some flare to your Kalashnikov? Check out these sleek Flytanium pocket clips! These pocket clips only fit the regular models not the Mini or the XXL.

I have been collecting knives for just over two years and as a result, have spent several thousands of dollars on 30 or so knives. This is a great knife. The edge grind on this sheepsfoot Boker K is identical to one of my favorite knives the ZT 0456, no longer in production. The auto action is snappy. I guess the springs in these vary as they are aftermarket. I was in a local knife shop and tried one and it didn't open near as hard as the Protecs. This BHQ version opens hard and maybe as snappy as the Protecs. One-handed closing is possible with the stiff spring, you have to change from index to thumb to get it closed. The D2 should work well. A competitor has S30V exclusive versions but only in the drop point. I prefer this sheepsfoot blade do I got it and I am happy. I've figured out how to get an edge on D2. As always, BHQ got it to me real quick and with no issues.
There are knives for collecting and knives for working. This is definitely the latter. This is the knife that goes in the pocket anytime I am doing projects around the homestead, working on cars or equipment, or other hard-use tasks. The sheepsfoot blade is perfect for just about any chore that doesn’t require stabbing, which also makes this knife far more socially acceptable in mixed company than many other styles. This is a great working knife and there is absolutely nothing at all wrong with AUS-8 steel. It’s been a great performing steel for many years.
I carried the tanto version of this knife daily for about 3 years. Loved it, but definitely not a sharp knife. More of a pry bar in some ways. Looking for something with a finer edge, but still with a stout spine. Saw this blade shape, bought it, and have carried it daily for about 2 weeks now. Much finer edge. Snappy spring action. Perfect size. Pocket clip works great.
Had this knife for a bit now. Became my new EDC. Right out of the box it has some vary fast action. It also came very sharp. If you are looking for an EDC auto that wont break the bank, this is it.
Love everything about this knife with the exception of the pocket clip. Made a sheath for the knife so did not need the clip. Tried everything, including heat, but could not budge it. Finally cut it off. Will order my next one without the clip, if that is possible.
This is my second Boker Kalashnikov from Blade HQ. I bought my 1st about 6 years ago after my Benchmade automatic wore out. It's been a phenomenal every day work knife. When I received the 1st Kalashnikov I had to do a little adjusting and buffing to get it to open and lock smoothly but once it was done it worked great and has been very reliable. I beat on it, chiseled with it, hammered with it, just abused it in every way you could imagine and it held up well. Every now and then the clip would snag on something and bend out of shape so I'd grab some pliers and bend it back. After about 6 dozen times the clip finally broke. I could buy another clip to fix it but the knife is inexpensive enough so I figured it was time to treat myself to a brand new one. I ordered the new knife and it arrived 2 days latter in the same style box as the original, thank you Blade HQ. This time though the knife needed no adjusting or buffing on the mechanism to make it open and lock smoothly. Boker's quality seems to be improving but the price is essentially the same as the 1st one. This is a great knife. I highly recommend it.
I own a number of these knives like the Black Widow and other colored blades for collector items. This one will be a user and I only wish Boker would produce it with a better blade steel. I'd be willing to pay more as I did for my Piranha DNA. It's fun to fidget, but I wonder how long that blade stop with last with the authoritative opening THWACK!
Wow. Fun knife with great materials at this price point. A little more wobble than some of the more expensive autos in my collection. Definitely would not want to have to rely on this to hold up for extreme use, but great fun to day carry. Snappy
Just received the Sheepsfoot model I bought from BHQ and have to say I'm rather disappointed in it. Clunky, too strong a spring in it that almost knocks it out of your hand when it slams open, and lousy finish. Almost looks like a used returned knife with a handle scratch and terrible metal digs in the internal lock plunger. Not worth returning as I already paid for shipping to buy it and would have to pay return shipping too. Read all the hype and thought I'd try one. The knife is a real "Meh". Glad everyone likes theirs but this is a catch and release as far as I'm concerned.
