It has a strong lock, dependable action, and a handle that just wants to go to work. The Kalashnikov truly is a knife that makes its namesake proud!

Customer Reviews

Boker
Micheal O. on Sep 15, 2020

After reading the reviews, I can see why this knife is well rated. Fits the hand nicely with the rugged contours and the blade “pops” out in a crisp manner. The blade seems to hold an edge pretty good. This is going to be an EDC and so far it meets all expectations. As for now, this knife is completely worth the money and I would recommend it highly. You won’t be disappointed.

Very nice

Befitting

Of anyone who deserves a high quality peice.

Excellent Quality Automatic
Isaac S. on Jan 20, 2018

This is my first Boker folder knife so I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm extremely impressed with the blade and handle quality as well as the automatic action. Feels great in the hand as well as great attention to detail. You will not be dissapointed with your purchase.

Wow! What a price for a great knife.
Spencer H. on Aug 5, 2019

I'm a big sucker for blue things. So when I saw this knife I had to have it and since it is a reasonable price I don't worry about messing it up. I used it to dig rocks out of the dirt so my little boy could throw them in the water.

Awesome knife
Ashton J. on Mar 4, 2019

Really good knife and it was customized and they did great

Second boker I bought
Noah P. on Dec 17, 2018

I have bought the reverse tanto one before this one. I loved the action so much I thought I would buy another one. The finish on the blade and handle is much better than the all black reverse tanto. The dagger blade is great. It is sharp and the false edge on the back is super handy. You can use the back like a butter knife, and save the live edge for real cutting task. The only thing that would make this knife better if the blade was thinner and better blade steel.

First Auto

I have no complaints about it. This is a great knife for the money. I plan to buy the whole collection lol.

Buying Another Soon!
Samuel T. on Jul 31, 2019

I bought this as a gift for my brother in law. Naturally, when it arrived, I had to "test" the action. I was shocked. For what seems to be a novelty-level price tag, you receive a fantastic, snappy, aesthetically-appealing auto! The receiver of this gift carries it frequently in his edc lineup.

Great EDC
Scott L. on Oct 4, 2020

Recently added this to my edc. Very snappy opening action and no blade play so far. All around great knife as with all the Bokers I have and have used!

Whats not to love.
Forrest W. on Oct 2, 2019

Love this thing, Pops got it for me as a christmas gift and had it customized, love the thing. It's on the top level of my knife rack. Love the dagger point, looks amazing. AND THAT ACTION. Every single time fires like a piston. I thought the lack of a safety lock would be a problem but the recessed button takes care of that concern perfectly. Awesome piece, the quintessential auto in my opinion

Perfect beater!
Bryan L. on Jul 25, 2019

This is a tough little knife. I use this at work on the farm, and i put this thing to work. The blade steal isn't all that great, but I don't mind sharpening my knife at the end of the day. The action is always snappy (even with clogged with dirt). If you're looking for something you can get down an dirty with, and not feel bad about it get this knife!

good and fun but maybe not as much as expected....
MICHAEL K. on Oct 23, 2019

so I bought two BK's at once, because they are so cheap, why not get a couple at a time? My only other experience with auto's is the Kershaw Launch 4, which is a pretty decent knife. Now, when I bought two at once, I expected there to possibly be a bit of a difference in feel between the two, but the difference is pretty drastic. The other version I got is the new harpoon blade in plain Black, while this blue handled model is "Blackwash" or something like that. The harpoon model DEFINITELY feels like a smoother operation, while the other model feels gritty, like several other reviewers have noticed. I am hoping that will work itself out after time. Regardless, if you are accurate and deliberate with your push, the blade pops out, with authority. Did NOT come very sharp, so I will have to work on that.

Great Knife
Joel B. on Jan 25, 2018

Just received this knife yesterday and I have to say I really like it, handle fits my hand perfectly and it’s pretty sharp right out of the box. Very well built and well worth the $40 I paid, actually think I’ll be ordering another. Only complaint I have is the auto open button is pretty notchy and pretty hard to press to get it to release the action. Hoping it will smooth out over time and use. Tried a little oil but that did nothing...

Nice
J. S. on Jun 17, 2019

Fits my hands well. For the price, it is a great auto-knife! I just wish it had come with the torx to allow me to reverse the pocket clip, since I carry it on my left side. (I may have been able to ask for that when I ordered the knife, but this was my first order with this company...)

Color is not as pictured
Matt K. on Dec 4, 2018

Knife seems well made. Action is a little gritty compared to my Kershaw Launch 1, but I can't knock this knife because of its price. My only complaint is the color. I was expecting the blue in the picture but the knife handle is closer to baby blue.

Tight release at first
Walter B. on Jun 12, 2018

When I first received the Boker Kalashnikov the release button was very stiff. I lubed it up with Benchmade Blue Lube and it began to operate. After operating the mechanism a dozen or so times it got much easier. The quality is great for the price. The blade is very sharp and there is absolutely no wiggle in the action. I'm actually glad the release is a little hard to press so it won't open in my pocket. I guess Kevin S. must have a weak thumb.

Some good, some bad
Brian T. on May 18, 2018

There is no doubt that this is a nice knife. It’s solid at this price point, stays sharp, and looks great too. The problem with it is in the automatic mechanism. As someone else said, it is very notchy. You can actually press it to a few different levels before it opens. I realize it’s a conversion, but I feel it should still work smoothly. I no longer carry it because I have smoother opening knives.

It's okay...
Justin D. on Oct 9, 2019

When this knife arrived, you could tell it had already been opened. The seals on the box had already been cut. Maybe someone returned it because they weren't happy with the side to side play this blade has. I'll try adjusting things and see how it goes. Deployment feels as if it happens in three stages. Maybe that will break in. Once the blade does let go, it is very strong. As of right now, I guess it's okay for the money.

Automatic open is trash
Kevin S. on Jun 7, 2018

Nice handle and good blade but the auto open button ruins the knife for me. If it loosens up over time, great. But for now it’s hard to push and you can feel it hanging up while you’re trying to open the knife.
