In 1947, Mikhail Kalashnikov completed development of the AK-47. It remains in active use worldwide to this day due to its incredible dependability, being very economical, and its performance history. The Boker Kalashnikov knife is inspired by the iconic rifle, with a simple design, no frills, and maximum functionality. It is made of high-performance, high-value materials and has a strong lock, dependable action, and a handle with exemplary ergonomics. The Boker Kalashnikov honors its namesake with a design you can count on.
*Automatic conversion knives are retrofitted by a third party to accept a coil spring. The factory warranty on these knives is void, but we do have a warranty for the conversion/spring of these knives for one (1) year from date of purchase.
These Boker Automat Kalashnikov 74 knives fit every hand like a glove. The grey handle has a slight sheen to it, metallic, maybe is the right word. The blade is really sharp out of the box, although I'll run several passes on a strop. The serrations are really nice and will come in handy in the field. The action is smooth and super snappy. Hold on tight if you've never had one, it might jump out of your hand. Love the tip up pocket clip also. Go ahead and get yourself one of these super affordable knives, you'll love it too.
Being a Boker owner I selected the Boker Kalashnikov Automatic 74 to give my Pops for his 72nd Birthday gift. His review: "The Best Knife I've ever owned!" He is always bragging about this knifes quality. We are farm and ranch people and his Boker Kalashnikov Automatic gets used hard. I recently borrowed it and was surprised to see how good the edge was after so much use. I now own two Boker Kalashnikov Automatics myself. The 74 and the dagger. The dagger is ok, but the 74 is a beast when it comes to cutting. The serration is perfect. I highly recommend this affordable and durable knife.
I had the page for this knife bookmarked for at least a year. I finally decided to buy one as a gift, but ordered 2 so as to have my own. Really pleased with the quality and service from Blade HQ. But I discovered that there are LEFT hand versions available! Ordered the 3rd knife in the space of 2 weeks and I'm sure it will as great as the first 2.
Gave this knife as a gift and it was very well received! Super sharp out of the box (slight cut when my friend opened it) and love the auto feature. Says it's fantastic. Before gifting it, I had to play with it. Auto button was a little tight, but should loosen with use. Looking to get one for me and maybe a mini for my wife (who also checked it out).
looks good had to tighten pivot a little bit, pretty sharp out the box, looks great and very snappy, very satisfied and shipping was super fast 2days nice!!!
I bought 2 of this model about 10 yrs. ago and it quickly became my favorite knife. I carried and used it daily at work and on the farm. It is easy to sharpen and holds it edge well. Unfortunately I have lost both but I quickly replaced them with new ones from Blade HQ.
I've owned this one for about a year or so and have put it thru its paces. I love it. The push button at first was gritty and hard to push but after a little oil and time it's now smooth as butter. The blade comes out quick and doesn't have any play once open. The aus8 steel is pretty good, mine came razor sharp out the box and I was able to shave not only my arm hair but my face as well. It sharpens easily and keeps its edge for a long time. The gray scales have worn a little but I love the look of it, kinda battle worn look to it now. I own different knives from dif brands, gerber, sog, bench made. And I have to say as far as pocket knives this is my fav!
The knife is awesome and comes as advertised. Customer service was great at answering all the questions I had and they got back to me very fast. This knife is a great auto knife for the money and is definitely a must have in anyones collection!
Seems to be good quality. Shipping was fast. My first non USA made knife, and also my first automatic. We'll see how it holds up, but for the price, I don't think you could go wrong!
